“It feels like the meeting is back,” was a refrain among attendees of the 2023 NBOA Annual Meeting, held February 19-22 in Los Angeles. With nearly 1,200 attendees, the scale was near pre-pandemic levels, and the energy was higher than ever.
Roughly 100 sessions were featured, including three outstanding keynote speakers, 9 leadership-level deep dives, and dozens of informative concurrents and goldmines — the latter of which returned this year by popular demand. Also back by popular demand were pre-conference workshops, this year on Inclusion as a Hiring and Retention Strategy, and Effective Financial Aid Strategy and Execution.
Attendees had the chance to learn, meet and greet keynote speakers, and network at the opening reception, NBOA Awards lunch, NBOA Breakfast, and attendee lounge among other opportunities.
New this year was a Solutions Theatre in the Business Showcase, in which business partners provided 20-minute learning sessions in the exhibit hall. Attendees also selected their own Annual Meeting t-shirt designs at a t-shirt press, and took away a silver anniversary mug, pin and special edition of Net Assets magazine to celebrate NBOA’s 25 years.
Recordings of all sessions will be available March 6-June 30 for all in-person attendees and those that purchased the NBOA Annual Meeting On Demand. It’s not too late to register for the On-Demand meeting.
The 2024 NBOA Annual Meeting will take place in Atlanta, February 25-28, and the call for content for the next Annual Meeting as well as webinars and Net Assets articles will open in May of this year. Stay tuned for more information!
