The 2020 NBOA Annual Meeting is less than a week away, February 23-26. More than 1,300 business officers, business office staff, heads of school and business partners will gather at the Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center and the co-conference hotel, Orlando World Center Marriott, for professional development sessions, networking and collegial exchange. This year’s theme of Envisioning the Future promises to help school leaders tackle challenges and address changes in the marketplace, compliance, business models and long-term planning.

This year the NBOA Breakfast is open to all attendees, not just business officers at member schools.
More independent school leaders are considering merging with another school as a viable strategy for financial sustainability. NBOA has leveraged relationships with legal, accounting, tax and consultative experts to develop the white paper, "Mergers and Acquisitions: Legal, Financial and Tax Considerations for Independent Schools.” The associated Deep Dive will be facilitated by NBOA President and CEO Jeff Shields.
