Last fall, NBOA and the Enrollment Management Association launched a partnership to pursue pressing questions involving how financial aid is changing and the implications for the future of independent education. In early March at the 2019 NBOA Annual Meeting in San Diego, that partnership will deepen further with a Deep Dive session on “Economics of the School Marketplace: Navigating Disruptive Change in Enrollment Management, Pricing and Financial Aid.” Presenters will be Heather Hoerle, EMA’s executive director and CEO, Chad Tew, principal of Tew & Associates, and Laurel Baker Tew, assistant head of school for enrollment at Viewpoint School. Also on the Annual Meeting agenda is a short “goldmine” session featuring Kristen Power, EMA’s director of business development, along with numerous concurrent sessions that will tackle related questions.
