(from Inside Higher Ed) College business officers are feeling gloomier about their institutions' financial positions than their college presidents, according to recent surveys by Inside Higher Ed. More than a third of all CBOs (36%) expect their financial condition to worsen over the next year, compared to just 22% of presidents who said that in the spring. In the long term, 65% of chief college business officers say they are confident in the 10-year outlook of their colleges, while19% of those surveyed say they lack confidence over the same period.
