Bomb Threats Rise among Jewish Schools, Community Centers

Feb 26, 2017, 5:51 PM

Lerner Community Day School in North Carolina is one of dozens of Jewish organizations, including preschools, that have received bomb threats since January. The school was evacuated last Wednesday, February 15. No violence has unfolded yet, and despite anti-Semitic rhetoric during the presidential campaign, there is no evidence that anti-Semitic sentiment among the general population has risen above an average of about 14 percent, where it's hovered for many years. All the same, schools should be vigilant about inappropriate and dangerous behavior.
