Bridging the CFO-CIO Gap

Independent schools, like other workplaces, are increasingly reliant on a strong relationship between the CFO and CIO. While the two may sometimes feel they speak a different language, they'll work together more successfully (and better support the organization's strategic goals) if the CFO:

• Provides more transparency about costs and financial management
• Develops a platform to facilitate conversations about the planning process
• Staffs business functions with individuals who understand IT and can educate IT leaders on finance issues and concepts
