(From American School & University) California will require all school teachers and staff to show proof of vaccination or submit to regular coronavirus testing, Gov. Gavin Newsom said Wednesday, becoming the first state in the nation to impose such a requirement on all employees at public and private schools. The order from the California Department of Public Health will take effect August 12 and schools must be in full compliance by October 15. The new policy will affect the state's 80,000 private school employees and will also apply to school volunteers, according to the California Department of Education and labor unions.
