(From The New York Times) People with COVID-19 no longer need to isolate for five days before returning to work or school, according to new guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). People with these illnesses can resume daily activities if fever-free for 24 hours without medication and if symptoms improve. The CDC said it is making the change due to lower rates of COVID hospitalizations and deaths and the availability of tools to combat respiratory viruses. Recommendations for other COVID-protective measures remain unchanged.
