CFOs Predict Economic Downturn

(from Crain's New York  Business) More than half of New York City-area financial executives believe the U.S. will experience a significant economic downturn in the next 12 to 24 months, according to a study conducted by Crain’s New York Business and Signet Research Co. Growth won't be easy and most CFOs are positioning themselves for resiliency. But business leaders shouldn't panic about day-to-day market volatility, as short-term shifts in markets are simply necessary adjustments, according to Jim Emmerson, CFO of Huntington Learning Centers Inc.
