(from the NonProfit Times) The overall number of donors giving in 2018 compared to 2017 was down 6.3 percent in the first quarter and 6.6 percent in the second quarter, according to the Growth in Giving Database, which tracks more than 18,000 organizations. The overall donor retention rate was behind 4.6 percent for the first quarter and 6.4 percent after the second quarter. Overall revenues were down more than 2 percent for both quarters. Will charitable organizations be able to reach end-of-year fundraising goals?
