(from NBOA) On March 25, the Department of Labor issued a poster for the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA) that needs to be publicly available to all employees. It addresses which employees are eligible of taking leave, reasons for taking leave, paid leave entitlements and enforcement measures. The DOL also issued an FAQ that addresses how to distribute the poster to remote workers.
The IRS has indicated that contributions to IRAs and HSAs for the 2019 tax year can be made through July 15, 2020. Find guidance here.
(from Manchester Ink) Southern New Hampshire University has shifted some of its food service resources to serving local school children experiencing food insecurity while also employing some of its food service staff when campus remains shuttered. SNHU is working with its food service provider Sodexo to make the change. The university is also making its currently unused gym space available for community services. COVID-19 patients may be treated in the field house should local hospitals be overwhelmed.
