(From Chief Learning Officer) Research shows that women in top business positions possess leadership traits different from successful men – inclusiveness, empathy and a willingness to share power among team members. Business leaders who display these traits are better equipped to lead a highly diverse workforce, according to Carol Valone Mitchell, co-founder of Talent Strategy Partners, and Rick Koonce, a consultant. By displaying traits such as empathy, intuition and emotional intelligence, business leaders can maximize their influence with direct reports and colleagues.
