Cultivating International Brand Ambassadors

Dec 20, 2018, 1:34 PM

(from ICEF Monitor) While most colleges don't cultivate relationships with international alumni, they realize alumni abroad play a crucial role in branding and recruitment efforts in their home countries. Former students have first-hand knowledge of what it’s like to study at the college, which is what prospective students are looking for in making study abroad decisions. How can organizations enable international alumni to become brand ambassadors for their schools?

  1. Seek buy-in from senior leadership.
  2. Get organised: set a budget and gather a team.
  3. Don’t lose track of your graduates: update information in your database.
  4. Connect with the students you have now.
  5. Start small and build from there.
