With all kinds of information at our fingertips, it's become easy for students to rely on the Internet and social media for their information — undermining their ability to evaluate media claims or discern the difference between sponsored content and actual reporting. They're not thinking critically. That's the gist of what CNN’s Fareed Zakaria discussed in a panel on “Education in the Post-Truth World” at a recent World Innovation Summit for Education (WISE 2017). Zakaria believes that students need to return to the fundamentals of education where you question the information and the source, which allows you to gain a greater understanding.
