(from the Chronicle of Higher Education) The Federal Communication Commission's vote this week to scrap net neutrality, allowing internet providers to favor some websites over others, is facing dissent from all over, including from within the education sector. Jody Feder of the National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities said the vote would have detrimental effects "on students, research and faculty at America's private colleges and universities." The National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO, NBOA's higher-ed equivalent) and the American Association of Community Colleges have also spoken out against the repeal.
