(From the New York Times) Unlike most established private schools in New York City, new startups aim to make a profit. Joining newcomers like BASIS, AltSchool and Avenues is WeGrow, started by the office space-sharing company WeWork. The new school proposes to integrate work and school life, with co-working spaces in the same building as classrooms. Parents and children could have lunch together. WeWork operates in 52 cities, and an expansion of WeGrow would allow parents and children to travel the world without disrupting their work and studies.
