Girls' Schools Drive STEM Success

Affirming news for single-sex independent schools: Graduates of all-girls' schools are six times more likely to consider majoring in math, science or technology, fields that now employ a smaller percentage of women now than they did in the 1980s. In most schools, researchers say, fewer girls are enrolled in upper-level STEM classes than boys.
