Hiring and Departures Both High for DEI Leaders

(from Inside Higher Ed) More colleges and universities are hiring leaders of DEI initiatives than ever before, but more leaders in these roles are also leaving the positions due to lack of support. Clearly defining the role and goals, and providing support at the highest level of the institution can improve retention, experts say. When leadership reinforces and repeats messaging in DEI work, it helps make that work stick.
