(from HR Dive) HR lessons learned last year will continue to apply, said David Garland of Epstein Becker Green. He thinks the #MeToo movement will continue to gain steam, with more executives departing following sexual harassment allegations and more training to prevent harassment. He predicts that states will pass more laws mandating training and that the next phase of the movement will tackle pay equity. Garland also predicts new state and local laws addressing the legalization of recreational marijuana, salary history bans and predictable scheduling requirements. He does not foresee new laws regarding HR matters at the federal level.
