(From ICEF Monitor) The number of new international students enrolled in U.S. higher education institutions fell by nearly half (46%) in 2020/21, according to the Open Doors 2021 Report. Continuing enrolments were much less affected, declining by a relatively modest 3%. Survey data for fall 2021, representing the responses of over 860 higher education institutions, foretell a much better time for U.S. educators in 2021/22, with 68% reporting increases in international enrollments.
