(From Forbes) The Great Resignation is waning, but a troubling trend, the “Great Gloom,” is taking its place, according to workplace experts. Employee satisfaction has steadily declined since 2020, with BambooHR reporting an 11% drop from June 2022 to June 2023 — nearly 15 times faster than the prior two years. Satisfaction now lags behind pandemic-era levels, driven by challenges like remote work struggles, job uncertainty, and inflation. Education workers experienced a 5% satisfaction drop in the past year, twice the rate of the prior two years, highlighting this growing workplace crisis.
