(from CUPA HR) Ready to weigh in on the overtime rule — again? After months of uncertainty over the fate of the Obama Administration's changes to the 2004 overtime rule under the Fair Labor Standards Act, the U.S. Department of Labor is expected to issue a request for information (RFI) within the next several weeks. During his confirmation hearing in March, and again on June 7, Secretary of Labor Alexander Acosta noted “the extreme economic impact that a doubling has in certain parts of the economy.” The RFI will likely solicit input from affected stakeholders on the economic impact of the proposed changes and how best to move forward with any updates.
