Lawsuit Highlights School’s AI Policy Gaps

With no AI policy in place, the school gave the student detention, a lower grade, and initially blocked him from the National Honor Society. The lawsuit seeks to reverse these penalties, claiming AI use wasn’t banned at the time. Experts say this highlights the need for schools to establish clear AI guidelines as the technology evolves.
