(from SHRM.org) Three of the 10 most groundbreaking and relevant employment cases for HR professionals of the year so far raise issues relevant to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) individuals, according to Louis Richard Lessig, an attorney speaking at the recent SHRM conference. Three more center around claims related to the Americans with Disabilities Act. Lessig cited five other notable cases involved family leave, equal pay, fair-credit reporting, age discrimination and employee classification under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
