(From HR Dive) Despite being generally satisfied with their employer’s paid time off (PTO) and vacation policies, three in four U.S. workers did not utilize their maximum PTO last year, according to a recent Harris Poll survey. In fact, the average American worker took 15 paid days off last year, despite half being allowed more than that by their employer. Even when they did take time off, 60% of respondents struggled to fully disconnect from work. Gen Z and Millennial workers, in particular, felt pressure to maintain productivity and feared negative employer reactions and career consequences.
