(From HR Dive) Fear of missing out (FOMO) is a key risk factor for employee mental health and, along with information overload, may increase burnout, according to a new study by University of Nottingham researchers. The study analyzed survey data from 142 employees and found that employees who were worried about missing out on information were more likely to suffer stress and report lower overall well-being. To help, employers may need to reevaluate their performance management strategies and recalibrate their approach to struggling hybrid employees, sources told HR Dive.
