Military Academies End Race-based Admissions

(From Reuters) When the U.S. Supreme Court banned the use of race in college admissions in 2023, military academies were initially exempt. However, last Friday, the U.S. Military Academy and U.S. Air Force Academy announced they will voluntarily end race-based admissions. The decision reflects a broader move to roll back diversity, equity and inclusion practices within the military.
