(from Greenwich Patch) Two more independent schools have announced plans to consolidate their operations, joining a growing list of other school mergers intended to leverage aligned missions and harness economies of scale. In Greenwich, Connecticut, Greenwich Country Day School (now preK-9) and The Stanwich School (now preK-12) will "consolidate students, faculty, operations and facilities" into a single preK-through-12 institution by September 2019. According to a post on its Facebook page, The Stanwich School reported that grades 9-12 will be at the existing Stanwich campus and "a fully integrated" nursery-through-grade 8 program will be at the current GCDS campus.
