(from The Washington Post) Campuses aren't merely protesting against the Trump administration's order to end DACA, the Obama-era program shielding young undocumented immigrants from deportation. In some cases, they're also experiencing the impact personally, particularly at schools that partnered with TheDream.US scholarship program. One such school is Trinity Washington University in D.C., where more than 100 students — about 10 percent of enrollment — have provisional legal status through DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals).
One of them is Sadhana Singh, whose Guyanan parents outstayed their tourist visa to visit the United States. She became a freshman at age 28. "I embraced the experience of being a normal college student."
