He discussed how NBOA, born in 1998, is a "digital native" association. Taking immediate advantage of websites and list servs and not long after webinars to communicate with members around the country and the world, NBOA has steadily built its digital offerings. This digital proficiency was especially useful during the pandemic and continues to be a focus for growth. Shields also discusses the state of the independent school industry and top concerns of the field today and also his personal leadership journey.
