(From SHRM) Pride month is here, but not all LGBTQ employees feel like celebrating. A quarter of LGBTQ+ workers say they do not feel they are treated fairly at work, according to Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) research released last week. Notably, two in five LGBTQ+ workers told SHRM they have not disclosed their identity at work. Of that group, 20% say they believe doing so would prevent them from being promoted. Half of those LGBTQ+ who have not disclosed their identities at work cited "fear that people would talk behind their back" as the reason.
