Non-Value-Added Tasks Impede Finance Teams

CFOs and their financial teams spend only 17 percent of their time on the strategic activities and analysis organizational leaders and stakeholders expect, according to a new "CFO Indicator" report. That's because they're often burdened with time-consuming tasks such as gathering data, verifying accuracy and formatting reports. CFOs cite data integration as the primary technology hurdle to gathering actionable information, often because they must manually collect financial and operational data from disparate, unconnected systems. Manual data aggregation also causes more errors.
