(from Education Week) The College Board plans to expand online options for its SAT and PSAT tests next spring, adding to the more than 5,000 students in 17 school districts who took the SAT online last fall and spring. By comparison, 82,000 students took the rival ACT online in 2016-2017. Even so, the vast majority of schools and school districts will offer only paper-and-pencil versions of the standardized tests, in some cases motivated by technology glitches. "Students would prefer to take tests online," said Keith R. Krueger, CEO of CoSN, which represents education technology directors. "They live in a digital world."
