(From USA Today) Based on responses from 1,662 American adults, the report found that young people without degrees are especially skeptical about the economic benefits of college. Only 25% believe a four-year degree is very important for a well-paying job, 35% say it is somewhat important, and 40% say it’s not important. That skepticism appears to be driven by the rising cost of higher education, rather than a perceived decline in the value of a degree. Despite these doubts, young adults without degrees are doing better economically than in recent years.
