(from News10, WTVM and Union Leader) Berkshire Country Day School in Massachusetts has launched a "fair share" tuition program, which has boosted enrollment 10% this past school year. Tuition ranges from $31,000-$4,000 a year and is based on a family's ability to pay. “Someone may say it’s not fair that I pay this much money and you don’t pay that much money. We’re really not interested in that conversation," said Head of School Jennifer Fox. "We’re interested in people who realize that there is a value that if they are paying a little bit more because they can afford more, that the world is going to be a better place when more people come to the table.”

The Oliverian School in Haverhill, New Hampshire, is considering buying a defunct college campus and moving its operations to Vermont. The college campus is "beautiful, secluded and a bit more 'in the world' than Oliverian’s current home" and offers an opportunity to add both a middle school and post-graduate component to its residential offerings as well as achieve operational efficiencies. The deal is contingent on two things: the cost of operating and renovating the college campus, and having a critical mass of staff agree to move states.
