(From Axios) It’s official. When employees don’t have to commute, they work. A new report by the National Bureau of Economic Research found that, of the average 72 minutes saved by not commuting each day, employees dedicated 40% of their saved time toward primary and secondary jobs. About a third went toward leisure activities and 11% went to caregiving, the study found. The data underscore that the benefits of remote work flow both to employees and employers.
