Reopening Strategies Consider Flexible-Work Arrangements

(From SHRM) More than a third (33%) of surveyed companies say they will continue to work remotely after the pandemic, and 36% have made the decision to reduce the number or size of their offices or facilities, according to a recent survey from executive compensation firm Pearl Meyer. Of the 349 organizations that participated in the survey, more than 80% said their organization's shift to remote work during the pandemic had been successful. The findings point to a more permanent shift in worksite policies, as many organizations plan to allow sizable numbers of employees to continue working remotely rather than risk seeing them hired away by a more accommodating employer.
