(from ICEF Monitor) A new report, "Deliberate Innovation, Lifetime Education," released by Georgia Tech University proposes new ways to reduce costs, improve effectiveness and increase opportunities and accessibility to higher education "to serve the needs of the next generation and beyond.” Among many recommendations, it foresees greater advising and professional coaching at the high school level to prepare for undergraduate, graduate and certificate programs pursued at different stages of life. The university also aims to establish a "distributed global presence" through "atriums" in storefronts around the world. These storefronts would provide students access to an online research library and on-demand online training.
