(From SHRM) The stigma around paid parental leave for fathers is decreasing as more companies offer benefits. According to SHRM research, paid maternity and paternity leave jumped 5 percentage points in 2023 from 2022, with paid paternity leave now being offered by 32% of employers. In California, men filed 44% of bonding claims in 2022, up from 31% a decade prior. Additionally, more workplaces are accommodating dads for a healthy work/life balance. Employers like DeVry and Hot Paper Lantern offer dads up to four weeks off, and Liberty Mutual provides eight weeks of bonding leave for all parents.
