(from ICEF Monitor) It can seem harder than ever to get the attention of potential students, but even schools with lean marketing budgets can tap strategies like these:
- Create and schedule videos for peak student engagement times.Social media platforms can deliver videos to targeted audiences at targeted times, such as when they're most likely to be preoccupied with school decisions. Be sure the videos are short and tailored to students' needs.
- Ask students to represent your brand. In a brand ambassador program, successful and satisfied students and alumni (ideally those with a significant follower base) can represent your school in a variety of ways. Many schools have also put an "Ask a Student" button on their websites.
- Ensure that social media is a real conversation. Respond to comments thoughtfully, even if they're critical; show that you consider students' opinions and suggestions in your operations.
