Even as they've been automated more functions, many accounting and finance teams report being understaffed, according to a study called Benchmarking the Accounting & Finance Function 2017. Two factors for the trend include climbing compliance requirements amid a competitive market for skilled talent. Financial Executives Research Foundation and Robert Half sponsored the study.
