Students Assault Man on Campus in TikTok Scheme

(from the New York Times) Five college students in Massachusetts are accused of luring a man to the Assumption University campus in a plot that the police said was inspired by the television show “To Catch a Predator” and a fad on TikTok. He was invited to campus through the Tinder app, and then chased by a large group of students and assaulted by two in the group. Students claimed he was a sexual predator, but there was no evidence this was the case.
