(from Forbes) Hiring is a criticial if challenging ongoing task regardless of whether an organization is growing. What's worse than the hiring process? When it goes south after you've spent time onboarding and engaging with a new employee who leaves within a few months. HR pros on the Forbes Human Resources Council say the first step in solving common recruiting and retention challenges is to fix the process. Among other recommendations, they say ditch looking at resumes, skip the salary question and give applicants a sample project or test.
