(from CUPA-HR) On July 20, the Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights (OCR) issued a Q&A resource that clarifies how OCR interprets schools’ existing obligations under the 2020 amendments to Title IX. The Q&A includes an appendix that “responds to schools’ requests for examples of Title IX procedures that may be adaptable to their own circumstances and helpful in implementing the 2020 amendments," according to a press release. The Q&A answers a variety of questions, including general obligations for institutions, the definition and handling of cases of sexual harassment, and the process of resolving formal complaints.
