(from Nonprofit Quarterly) While other universities are having trouble filling seats, Capital University in Bexley, Ohio (outside Columbus) has increased its enrollment. The school, which began in 1830 as a seminary for the Evangelical Lutheran Synod of Ohio, now offers undergraduate and graduate degrees in the sciences, liberal arts, law and other areas. In September, CU will offer its Good Guarantee program: discounted tuition to students or their spouse, parent or legal guardian who are paid employees of a nonprofit or public-service organization. Over a third of the new students who have committed with their deposits are eligible for the program.
