Canadian colleges and universities report a dramatic spike in applications from students in the U.S., China and India, among other countries, in the two months since the November U.S. presidential election. Increased interest from U.S. students is attributed to potential federal policy changes involving deportation, potential threats to campus safety and diversity issues, as well as greater cross-border recruitment efforts.
