Welcome the Five-Generation Workforce

Sep 26, 2017, 1:16 PM

(from HR Dive) An unprecedented five generations of workers will soon be sharing workspaces, challenging employers to strike a balance in accommodating a diverse range of expectations and needs involving working styles, wellness programs and benefits. From youngest to oldest, the generations are known as Gen Z (sometimes called iGen), Millennials (the biggest cohort of workers by 2020), Gen X, Baby Boomers and Traditionalists. The generational shift impels employers to pur more emphasis on physical health, work-life balance, and flexible health benefits plans that offer a menu of options and replace premiums with comprehensive consumer-focused services, sometimes offered on a subscription basis.
