What can schools do to attract students from abroad? Offer high-quality instruction and make their campuses feel welcoming, according to the 62,000 students who responded to the fifth annual International Student Survey in January and February. Prospective college students cited "the degree to which a place feels welcoming" as the most important factor in their choice of a study destination, and high-quality teaching ranked highest for their choice of an institution. They see Australia as the most welcoming country, followed by Canada, the U.S. and the U.K.
