(From Bolton) Post pandemic, more workers want more flexibility in their work. Employers can satisfy this desire in ways other than offering remote work. Flexible hours and schedules can help, as can different types of work environments, which may provide more or less interaction or facilitate different types of activities. Focusing on outcome and performance instead of when and where the work is performed is perhaps the most important shift a company must make if workplace flexibility is to be a balanced deal for employers and employees.
