Adam Weinberg, Ph.D., is the 20th president of Denison University. Weinberg joined the university in 2013 and has focused on the major issues facing higher education today, including curricular innovation, affordability, globalization and closing the education to career gap. Under his leadership, the college has seen applications triple while building a reputation as a leader in private college affordability. Weinberg started his career at Colgate University, where he held roles as a faculty member, as well as vice president and dean of the college. Weinberg also served as president and CEO of World Learning, one of the premier international education and development organizations. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Bowdoin College and doctoral degrees from Northwestern University. He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and currently serves on the board of the National Association of Independent Schools, The Columbus Partnership, and chairs the boards of the Great Lakes College Association and North Coast Athletic Conference.
